Practical information

We can only accept your dog or cat upon presentation of a valid vaccination certificate (no older than 12 months). The dog must be inoculated against Parvovirus, infectious hepatitis, and distemper.

Parasites.
A few days prior to their arrival at Hørsholm Kennel and Cattery, all dogs and cats must be treated against fleas. We recommend Frontline, which is also effective against ticks.

Heat.
If the dog will be, or is, in heat while residing with us, we request to be informed of this.

The dog's own box/bedding, as well as the dog's favorite toy can be brought along at your own risk. (Maximum weight for boxes/bedding is 8 kg.)

Medication, own dry fodder, and similar is given without extra charges.
(If the food requires special prepartion, a fee will be charged.)

Feeding.
Unless otherwise agreed upon, meals are served twice a day - morning and evening.

Notice:
Special rule regarding lodgings on New Year's Eve:

For the night between 12/31 and 1/1, we only accept dogs in connection with a stay of minimum 5 days. This is done in order to consider the needs of those of our costumers who take Christmas- and New Year's vacation.

…prior to arrival:
To turn over your dog or cat to a kennel and cattery, is a matter of trust. As such, we welcome you to pay us a visit prior to a possible stay.

…upon arrival:
To avoid giving the dog a bad start on its stay, we recommend that you do not overfeed the dog on the day of delivery - preferably only the dog's usual meals.

…during the stay:
Hørsholm Kennel and Cattery reserve the right to take the dog or cat to the veterinary, in the event that the dog or cat appears to be ill or injured. Furthermore, the veterinarian will be requested to see to any follow-ups during the stay, such as changing the dressing of a wound and the like. This is done at the owner's expense.

…upon departure:
Please avoid letting the dog run loose at our facilities, as this will be disturbing for the rest of the lodging dogs.

All dogs and cats are covered solely by the insurance provided by their owner. Stay is at owners own risk.

Saturday: Closed
Sunday: 4-5pm
Telephone hours: Weekdays: 8.00 - 9.30am

Outside peak season, we will gladly give a tour of the kennel and cattery.

If the dog or cat is delivered or picked up outside our usual hours, we charge an additional fee of 150 Dkr.
